Artwork Description
Description
This 36x48 original mixed media painting by Allison Rohland features a muted colorway and rich, layered textures that create a sense of depth and quiet movement; soft tones of lavender, sage green, and blush pink blend seamlessly to evoke a calm, organic atmosphere. Through its layered composition, the piece explores the integration of different parts of self and life—how seemingly separate experiences, emotions, and identities can coexist, overlap, and ultimately form a cohesive whole.

She currently works out of her home studio in Big Sur, CA.
Artist Statement
My work explores the integration and celebration of the fragmented parts of ourselves. How can we build a new image or version of self from parts of the past--and learn to love and accept them in a new way?

Each piece is built with building materials to play on that metaphor of creating a new self. Through deep exploration each piece is intuitively created.
