Felicity Inkpen
Bio
Felicity Inkpen is a visual artist working in traditional two-dimensional media from her studio in Leith, Edinburgh. Trained in physics and neuroscience, she draws on her extensive knowledge and experience as a working research scientist to inform her contemporary figurative works that attempt to explore and communicate all the strange ways in which the mind works. Practicing and exhibiting as an artist since 2012, the global pandemic caused her to re-evaluate her priorities, and in 2022 she made the switch to focus on art full-time.
Recent visual work has explored pandemic anxiety, and the phenomenon of synaesthesia, when brains make unusual cognitive sensory associations.
