Artist Statement

My art is often expressive and emotional and is created using a variety of mediums such as paint, ink, and found objects. Rather than adhering to a predetermined set of rules or restrictions, I create art intuitively, using my own emotions and life experiences as inspiration. The goal of my work is to communicate something personal and meaningful to the viewer, and to connect with them on a deeper level.

I utilize my work to communicate and process my feelings about healing from trauma, staying present, and connecting to the divine energy of the natural world. There are many ways that I convey these themes in my art, and the specific approach will depend on the emotional impact of the experience I am working through.

My ultimate goal is to serve as an example of how to express the process of redemption via spirituality and to release pain through art. For myself and maybe even the viewer, I want to provide a cathartic outlet.
