Artist Information
Bio
Aerin Sizelove is an artist who has resided Seattle.beginning in 2021 She lived in San Francisco for the last 18 years where she learned sculpture. She always had a strong interest in art starting at a very young age, when she was a child, she enjoyed painting among other mediums. She attended the Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design in 2003. Since then, she has experimented in many mediums of sculpture, printmaking, ceramics and mixed media while continuing to paint. She is a member of the Pacific NW Sculptors Association and attends the California Sculptors Symposium annually. She hopes to one day open an art studio to help other young adults find their creative outlet.
Artist Statement
I've never been one to enjoy doing things slow nor meticulously. I enjoy texture, colors and merging mediums together. I've also never tried a medium I didn't like. I found sculpture back in city college back in 2015 after years of barely touching much at all. Though growing up I was constantly creating there was this dry spell throughout my 20s where my world was purely social. Sculpture is the medium that sucked me back into the art world and what brought me to Seattle. I continue to work on stone out of my shared studio, The Stoneyard with 6 other artist it's part of Equinox Studios. Looking forward to getting weirder and hopefully get into larger scale pieces including installations.
