Bio
Washington based and Yakima raised artist Andrea Westerfield has been honing her passion for painting for several years. Since 2011 she has been blending her way through oil and acrylic mediums. A fan of still life, she has spent time painting large scale contemporary style figureheads of pop culture. With her background as a chef in the PNW she has also devoted a good deal of time examining & painting local ingredients from the earth, land & sea – ingredients she loves to cook. More recently for an independent warehouse gallery, Andrea amassed a large collection of Pacific Northwest landscapes, images that remind Andrea how fortunate she is to live surrounded by such beauty.This contribution is a piece of that collection inspired by Lake Crescent; a lake buried high in the Olympic Mountain Range.
Andrea continues to paint what inspires her, and lives with her husband, & two daughters in Seattle, WA.
Artist Statement
I like expressing myself in many ways but, my favorite is when I'm using my paint brush. Creating a piece is an amazing feeling. Allowing others to experience art through my eyes is intoxicating.
