Description

NYC: View from the top is the third cityscape in the series. It took a few years to finish in between life happening. Created with Google images and Google Earth. All hand-drawn and inked. Digitally coloured. A2 size.

Collection Statement

New York City is the third cityscape I’ve drawn, after Cairo and London. That was when I thought of drawing large city scapes of cities I’ve lived in. After living in NYC for a short while, I decided it was a good idea to pen the city from an interesting angle. So again, using a few images Google Earth and a bunch of made up buildings, I finished this map about a year later.

It was fun. And very cathartic.
