Artwork Description
Description
Of Adam’s first wife, Lilith, it is told
That, ere the snake’s, her sweet tongue could deceive,
And her enchanted hair was the first gold.
Artist Information
Bio
Adam Nustedt is deeply interested in the idea of synchronicity, which he sees as a means of accessing hidden dimensions of reality. He believes that by paying attention to seemingly random events and coincidences, we could tap into a deeper energy that underlies the universe. He believes that art has the power to transform the way we perceive reality.

His works communicate magic and synchronicity through the use of symbolism and metaphor. By tapping into the collective unconscious, he creates images that resonate with deep-seated archetypes and universal themes. Mystical manifestations of the sacred. While connecting them with the now, the meeting of the sacred and the profane.

Adam Nustedt fuses many styles and techniques from diverse inspirations. The ancient, classical, and contemporary to create something unique. Energized, inspiring, sometimes challenging works that explore aesthetic possibilities and emotions. His works transverse the borders between the abstract and the real. The mythological and the everyday. The dream and the waking life.

His paintings can be at turns an ethereal and visceral experience, a realisation of the sacred from the profane. A synesthetic experience that awakens all the senses. The paintings have a knowing engagement with art history, furthering the story. With an awareness that the conventional modes of storytelling can be limiting and that by breaking down these structures, it is possible to create works that are more reflective of the complex and interconnected nature of reality. To own a Pog is to own a piece of history.
