Artwork Description
Description
Big bikes are exotic powerhouses with engines encircled in sinuous, serpentine chrome pipes that contain and tame the explosive power of internal combustion. A visual blend of science, magic and art, the like of which is threatened with extinction under the march of eco-friendly electric motors.
Artist Information
Bio
Neil Huntingford is a graphic designer and photographer who has used photography throughout his life, both professionally and personally, consequently building up a large collection of over 50,000 images.

Never fixated on any set genre or method, his photographs map a social history of motorsport, nature, people and places spanning  five decades.

Neil lives on a tranquil island on the River Thames and spends his time travelling, engaging in local voluntary work and enjoying island life with friends and family.

And of course, taking photos.......
Artist Statement
The photographing of form and shape has inspired, challenged, haunted and fascinated me over the years and  constitutes the majority of my work. I particularly love the play of light and shadow combined with a sense of mystery or playfulness to create images that tell a story about a person or an object.

My work has been exhibited at both the Strand Gallery and Menier Gallery in Central London as well as a retrospective exhibition at the Robert Phillips Gallery in Surrey.
