Collection Statement
Color is a force. I use the design of my paintings to emphasize and explore the impact of color, in the context of geometric abstraction and minimalism. I have always been drawn to the interplay between seemingly unrelated colors and shapes. I often apply strong contrast to proportions to create visual tension in my pieces. The dynamic angles and broad, saturated color fields create energy that is experienced uniquely by each viewer.
Artist Information
Bio
Sarah Aileen is a painter and designer living in the Pacific Northwest. Sarah studied at Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Michigan, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design. Upon graduating, she gave in to practical thoughts about making it in the “real world” and made a pivot into accounting, followed by wealth management. After a couple decades passed, she made the decision to return to the entrepreneurial world of artists and creatives.

Her current work is focused on geometric abstraction; the bold minimalism is a nod to her graphic design background, love of editing, and fascination with striking color combinations.
