This painting of Face Rock Beach on the Oregon Coast celebrates those wonderful sunny days on the beach, with salt in the wind and a few fluffy clouds drifting past the craggy rock formations. Vibrant blue skies, ochre rocks, hints of magenta and blue gray in the shadows in a contrast of wispy layers and solid oil bar strokes capture the dichotomy of soft and hard on the beach.
