Description
A lush field of Camas (a PNW indigenous food staple), painted in water color on
archival aquaboard, is float mounted in a simple white shadow box frame. A digital image of historic LaTourette House, that now stands where the camas once flourished, is etched into the plexiglass of the frame. The structure is a ghostly image of the past, layered over an exuberant painted landscape that was lost to the settling of the Pacific North West.
