Bio

I, Yaneise Ramos, am an educated individual with an acquired Diploma in both Art and Design, and Music Technology from B6 Sixth Form College. I also proudly hold an Honours Degree in Music Industry Management from The University of East London.
Residing in  London has enabled me to pursue both art and music, therefore becoming a multi-talented cross-artist.
As a soul singer and abstract artist, I take influence from musicians such as Jill Scott, Lizz Wright, Asa, India Arie, Matias Damasio, Sara Tavares and Aretha Franklin to name a few. It is in the midst of such influences, I truly believe I have found my own unique voice with a husky tone and a steady tempo to my melody.
My abstract work comes to life from my musical influences. Jazz, soul, blues and funk feed my soul and inspire my heart. I particularly love working with bright and bold colours infused with soft patterns to shape and bring character to my work.
Abstract art is an emancipation of my mind, it has no rules, no restriction, it's my perfect adventure, it’s the only way I can connect with my inner, deepest self and transcends it to my audience.
Art is my freedom of speech, it's my escape, and music is my release. Combining these together I aim to give you an escape from life's tribulations.

Artist Statement

As a soul singer and abstract artist, art is my escape from the real world and music is my release. When I allow these two art mediums to connect and collaborate, I create an art experience unlike any other.
To me, abstract art comes to life with jazz and soul music. It feeds the wheels of my creativity and inspires my audience and feeds our souls.
