Artist Statement

I am interested in the overlapping relationships between perception, consciousness and memory an area that has accompanied me throughout my practice working with paper, photography, cine film and music composition as well as numerous project collaborations over both short and long terms.
I have recently returned from a trip to Japan where I walked along a section of the Tokaido rd collecting material for new psychogeographic landscape works - in the footsteps of Hokusai and Hiroshige - two artists whose approach to their work has been a fundamental influence upon my own.
My current project is the release of an 11 track album of music compositions meticulously collaged from hand triggered samples of music fragments sourced from hundreds of junkstore records - its called Long Ago Forgotten.
