Pfil Fujiwara is a multimedia artist from Chicago primarily focusing on digital painting, animation, and acrylic LED installations. Their expressive work communicates their lived experiences through themes of identity, race, gender and mental illness. Oh, and sometimes they make silly cartoons after they're done being pretentious.
Artist Statement
I believe vulnerability and empathy are two of the most important human traits. The human experience is rife with messiness and pain. It follows no logic, and therein lies its beauty. Through my artwork, I aim to correct my wrongs, share my experience for others to learn from, and have a little bit of fun along the way.
