Alpharetta, United States

Bio

Lindsay graduated with a Fine Arts degree from University of Calgary in 2004. She’s gone on to create numerous landscapes, flower paintings and contemporary pieces. In 2018 she started a textile and product company with her paintings turned into prints. These have been sold world wide via online and brick and mortar stores. This led her family to the USA, where they currently make Georgia their home. Her original artwork is impressionistic and often fits in with home decor and interior styling. In 2022 she started exploring new methods in her art to ask questions about post-Covid, and art as an emotional and therapeutic tool for healing. She recently had a show at Boomer Gallery in London, and is currently working on a new series around “Regret”.

Artist Statement

Lindsay Rempel's painting practice seeks to explore the inner depth of experience as humans and our faith connection. From floral works and landscapes to her contemporary pieces, Lindsay uses thick brushstrokes and often large canvases to elicit emotions. Through the lens of exploration, both in its physical and symbolic aspects, she seeks to create a space for contemplation of the human condition and our constantly shifting hopes and dreams. Her latest pieces use water as a symbol of regret and contemplation. With  her vivid yet emotive art, Rempel invites viewers to delve into their own life experience and provides a moment of personal awareness while encountering her work.
