Bio
I am a Colombian visual artist living in London. I am BA in Visual Arts with Plastic emphasis, from Javeriana University in Bogotá and a Master in Art History graduated from the University of Salamanca, Spain. I have participated in several exhibitions in different countries such as Colombia, USA, Spain, England, Italy and Switzerland. The last few years, I have been traveling and putting all my experiences in photographs, exploring different languages: landscape, event and portrait.
Artist Statement
On my praxis I investigate the identity, gender roles and human impact on living things. The use of strategies of advertising image, photography and scientific illustration as well as the use of the formal beauty of everyday images are the central components. Literary and musical referents are also present on my production in a clean, high contrasted, and realistic series.
