Bio
Elena 'El' Francesca Barbiero, born in Padua, Italy has resided in the UK since 1996. An amateur artist for most of her life, she has experimented with various mediums throughout the years, although acrylic painting has definitely emerged as a favourite for the possibilities it presents in mixing and utilising colour.
El has worked as a holistic therapist ( Reiki, Reflexology, Colour Therapy Readings) for the past 20 years alongside other professional endevours.
She holds a degree in Political Science and has studied Classics in secondary. She has two children ( now young adults) and currently resides in Berkshire, after 20 years in South London.
Artist Statement
statement All is energy and my acrylic paintings are created with the intention of opening a healing space: they are meditative art. The visual act of seeing the painting and its colours and beauty is meant to create calm stillness in the viewer.
I believe art always makes a statement. My statement is that beauty and nature are in all of us, if only we can access that internal universe: these paintings are a small but powerful energetic portal.
