Winston Churchill once stated:
“Never Give Up On Something That You Can’t Go A Day Without Thinking About.”
So, I didn't.
Hi. I am Heidi. Former corporate, international road warrior, dashboard-curator turned creative.
For as long as I can recall, I have been in love with photography and obsessed with the night sky. I could and would often spend long nights taking photographs and studying, even on the coldest of nights.
When the opportunity arose to step away from the corporate world and pursue these passions, I didn’t even think. I went all-in.
That has been one of the best decisions I have ever made.
As I evolve, so does the scope and depth of my portfolio - expanding beyond the night sky to include other focuses. I am excited to share my vision, my journey, my perspective, and my evolution with you.
I gravitate towards nature when searching for creative inspiration. It’s humbling to witness its constant transformation, always moving forward through changes that are both, anticipated and unexpected. There is no hesitation, seasons cycle on cue, rendering adaptation essential. It is here that I find my solace, adjust my attitude, and resonate in calm once again.
In tranquil states, I appreciate the details that are often overlooked. Those supporting roles focus is directed away from, textural characteristics that give strength, the subtle details hidden in shadow. We naturally skim and scan, only noticing that which we deem as the most important – and whether intentional or not, pass over tangential elements that are inspired, beautiful, and necessary.
A plea to pay closer attention, to look beyond, look through, or look up, percolates throughout my work. To wake up, slow down, open your eyes, open your mind, and look, for one moment, appreciate the details, is what my images petition.
Please wait, it may take sometime ...
